Sekar Kedaton is a lounge as well as a boutique in an old city called Kotagede

Sekar Kedaton is the place to have meals that offers three exclusive outlets. It is a restaurant where you can taste Rijstaffel and typical Javanese goods in the first floor. Lounge with Javanese atmosphere offers wine and various beverages is located in the second floor. Meanwhile, servings of fruits and tea and the enchantment of Javanese exclusive room can be found in boutique residence on the second floor.

Sekar Kedaton serves various Javanese cuisines from different raw materials. Terancam consisting of spinach, basil, carrot and bean sprout with grated coconut as the spice will spoil vegetables lovers. Meanwhile, chicken curry, beef cooked in thick coconut sauce and stewed meat will satisfy those who like meats. You can also enjoy various Javanese chilly sauce, pickles and Javanese noodle.

Having meals at Sekar Kedaton, you will not only enjoy high taste of cuisines but also the enchantment and history of the old buildings that might become the ingredients to make the cuisines even more delicious. The building of Sekar Kedaton as a composition of Javanese, Chinese, Portuguese, and Dutch architectures used to belong to Prawiro Soewarno Tembong, a Kalang person who was a successful businessman in Kotagede in the past. This building used to be the headquarter of the independence strugglers.

Sekar Kedaton will warmly welcome your visit from 11:00a.m. to 11:00p.m. This quite big building will accommodate groups of people. The entire restaurant both indoors and outdoors accommodates maximum of 250 people. The indoor restaurant accommodates 100 people, while the lounge accommodates 65 people at maximum. Advance reservation is highly recommended for better service.
